The CircularTech DPP Award acknowledges leadership in driving transparency, circularity, interoperability, societal value, and entrepreneurial innovation.

The CircularTech DPP Award seeks to:

• Highlight the most impactful and innovative DPP-related projects and solutions, to bring clarity in the evolving market
• Foster collaboration across industry sectors to accelerate the Circular Economy and digital processes
• Recognize outstanding entrepreneurial and societal contributions to DPP adoption
• Promote leadership in GreenTech

Target Groups

Applications are open to a broad group of contributors shaping the future of Digital Product Passports, including:

• Solution Providers (technology, platforms, services)
• Projects and Initiatives (research consortia, pilots, collaborations); 
• Industrial Companies (first implementers or users of DPPs); 
• Individuals in GreenTech  (thought leaders, innovators, experts who made extraordinary contributions)

The Global Digital Product Passport Excellence Award is presented in four categories: 

• Visionary Innovation
• Maturity in Action
• Impact Leader
• Champion of Global Collaboration

Participation in the Award is free of charge for all applicants.

Evaluation Process

All submissions will undergo a rigorous, multi-phase evaluation led by a panel of independent experts from across the digital circular economy, policy, technology, and sustainability fields.

The process includes:

🔹 Eligibility Check:
All entries will be screened to ensure they meet the submission criteria and category relevance.

🔹 Expert Jury Review:
Each valid entry will be evaluated by a five juries of recognized DPP and circular economy experts based on pre-defined criteria, including innovation, scalability, maturity, real-world impact, cross-sectoral relevance, and contribution to EU regulatory goals.

A Jury of Leading Experts and Evaluation

Submissions to the CircularTech DPP Excellence Awards will be evaluated based on four key criteria. Innovation, Trust, Interoperability, and Data Transparency assess the originality of the solution, its trustworthiness in protecting data, support for interoperability, and commitment to transparency and data sovereignty. Circular Economy and Indistry Impact, Entrepreneurial Value and Scalability, Societal and Ecosystem Benefits measure the solution’s contribution to sustainability, scalability across industries, and its societal impact, fostering collaboration while ensuring data sovereignty. Entrepreneurial Value, Scalability, and Trust focus on the long-term business potential, scalability, and trustworthiness of the solution, including its ethical and secure approach. Societal and Ecosystem Benefits, Outreach, and Trustworthiness of the Involved Ecosystem evaluate the solution’s contribution to global collaboration, societal well-being, its outreach to diverse stakeholders across industries and regions, and the credibility of the ecosystem involved in driving collective action. Please note that these are not all the criteria; they represent the core elements of the evaluation.
